Dulce de Leche Banana Pudding Jars

You know how some ingredients were just made to go together? Bananas and Dulce de Leche are one of those; and when Nilla Wafer's, creamy pudding, and whipped cream are added to the mix it is just on another level altogether! Not only is the Dulce de Leche found on the bottom of the jars, it's also mixed into the pudding and drizzled on top, so you get caramel banana bliss in every bite!  If you're not familiar with Dulce de Leche, it's a sweet milk caramel made from Sweetened Condensed Milk.  It is divine as a dip for apples and bananas, or as a topping on ice cream, baked goods, or pudding- wink wink.   I think these look so cute and fancy in these little half-pint jars, but you don't have to make it this way.  No jars? No problem. You can layer them in small bowls, or just combine them all in an 8X8 inch pan. Will it look as pretty? Probably not, but hey, it will still taste amazing!  These are best if made a day ahead of time to allow the banana flavor t...

Incredible Chocolate Pudding (Dairy Free!)

A few months ago I had a baby.  We love him to death!  Unfortunately, after weeks of fussiness, we discovered that his stomach was sensitive to dairy.  I stopped drinking milk and he is now a happy little guy, but I gotta say, I miss dairy!  I didn't realize before how many recipes call for milk or cream.  Sometimes I just really want something creamy and chocolate, but I know it's not worth giving baby boy a tummy ache over.  So, when I saw this recipe on one of my favorite blogs I couldn't wait to try it out.  I LOVE this pudding!  And not just because it's dairy free.  Seriously, I wouldn't know that it was if I hadn't made it myself.  This is so good that while I sometimes share it, other times I hide it in the fridge to keep it all for myself.  Shhh.

Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding (Re-post with a picture )

Does this dessert sound familiar to you?  I originally posted it last Summer, but didn't have a picture at the time.  I'm excited to be able to post this picture now so you can see how yummy it looks!  I first had this pudding at a BBQ last Summer.  One bite and I was hooked.  This fabulous pudding sits on top of a layer of bananas and is sandwiched between two delicious cookies. Does it get any better than that?  Banana pudding didn't used to be something I craved, but it definitely is now.  It is Heavenly!  Also, it's very easy to make.  So try it out sometime.  I bet you'll become a banana pudding fan too.

Rice Pudding

Have you ever cooked a dish and made to much rice? Well do I have a recipe to solve that problem. Growing up, my mom made some super yummy treat, but one of my all time favorites happen to be rice pudding. Its funny how each one of us kids have our favorite and when we go home for a visit, my mom knows just what treat to make to please each of us kids! What a great mom!! When I made the soup I posted yesterday, I cooked a little extra rice and surprise my kids with some warm rice pudding. The picture is not the greatest, they were in a hurry to eat it, but you get the idea. We do like it warm, but you are free to cook it and refrigerate it for later or the next day. This was the first time I have ever made it for my kids and Jeremy has asked me for the last few days when I am going to make it again!
