Corn Bread Bites

Like Pam, I am excited for Autumn to arrive. Last week we made my chili recipe which I posted last year, but needed something new to go with it.  We usually make Buttermilk Corn Bread, but I happened to find this recipe not long ago and needed a dish to try it out with, so that is what I did.

Caramel Crunch Bars

With each healthy meal I post, I need to share non healthy, fattening dessert to go with it!  We haven't been doing much with desserts lately, but I made this for a picnic we were invited to last weekend.  I have had this recipe for a long time, but never really had the interest in making them.  That was a big mistake!

Greek Grilled Chicken Salad

I have been on the hunt for healthy dinner options as well as different things to eat.  This is one of my new favorite dinners.  I had everything done before the kids came home from school and just grilled the chicken before we were ready to eat.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

I'm ready for Fall!  Even though I know Fall will be followed by Winter, which will be really cold and last way too long, I can't help but wish Fall was here already.  I'm ready for crisp, cool air, colorful leaves, pumpkins, and apple cider.  I can't do anything about the weather or the leaves, but I decided it was time to break out a Fall recipe.  Packed into the one little muffin is a bounty of Fall goodness- pumpkin, apples, spices, and pecans!  It smells amazing while baking and is hearty and delicious!  So if you're ready for Fall like me try these out!  If not, keep these in mind for when Fall finally rolls around...but you might be sorry you waited so long to try them!

Challah Bread

I finally did it!!  I made Challah bread.  We love to make Monte Cristo sandwiches and it requires challah bread.  When buying this bread it costs around $4 a loaf, stupid!  So I decided it was time I figured out how to make it.

Honey Yogurt Waffles

These hearty waffles are simple, straightforward and wonderful at breakfast. The soft, lightly browned waffles get their slightly chewy texture from a mixture of grains, including whole wheat flour and oats.  I substituted vanilla yogurt for the plain for an added flavor.

Homemade Toaster Strudel

Like many of you know, I love breakfast!  I am always on the lookout for fun things to make to start the day.  Mike loves to buy those store bought toaster strudel, but they have so many bad things in them, I never let him buy them.  But I did find a recipe for a simple and much more healthy alternative!

Penne in Cream Sauce with Sausage

In honor of Mike's birthday today, I am posting his favorite dish of all time!  Since we've been married he has tried to tell me about a dish he use to eat while working at IBM a long time ago.  I have tried many times to recreate the dish but never have had much success, until now, finally!

Raspberry Cream Cheese Breakfast Buns

I figured we were in need of a new muffin recipe!  Last night I was reading a book and they mentioned these amazing Raspberry Crumb Muffins from Magnolia Bakery in New York.  They sounding amazing, so this morning I found the recipe.  I added the crumb topping,
