Chocolate Spiderweb Cake

Happy Halloween!  I didn't make to many Halloween treats this year but I wanted to make something fun for our ward Halloween party and this was the winner.  For the cake, I followed the instructions for the Chocolate Mousse Crunch Cake from Our Best Bites, minus the toffee.  Then for the spiderweb I piped a spiral of store bought vanilla frosting.  Once the spiral was finished I simply took a toothpick and drew lines through the ganache from the center to the outside.  I added some plastic spiders to this later on for a fun and creepy effect.  Even if you don't do the spiderweb, the cake itself was great and I'm sure it would be even better with the toffee chips!

Great Harvest Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread

Kirsti sent me this recipe about a year ago and we've made it several times since.  It's easy and delicious!  I love making Pumpkin Bread in the fall when the scent of pumpkin and sweet spices fill up my kitchen.   Sometimes I surprise Brynlee with this for an after school snack and it never fails to brighten her mood after a long day.  In fact, I think this delicious pumpkin bread would brighten anyone's day!

Pumpkin Pie French Toast

With autumn official here, the pumpkin recipes are coming out.  Already my kiddos are telling me no more pumpkin! But, I can not help myself, I love pumpkin. Not only does it taste wonderful, it make a moist and yummy baked good.  My sister asked for a pumpkin french toast recipe and I thought I had already posted this. With this recipe, I made a cinnamon syrup that really works well with this.  I think next time, I might add a little nutmeg as well to add to the flavor.  Nothing better than french toast with a hint of pumpkin and warm cinnamon syrup to start the day off right.  I hope you enjoy this as much as we do,  Stay turned for more pumpkin recipes, despite my kids complaining!
