Nutter Butter Mummies

Halloween is almost here!  Brynlee  (my 6 year old) and I wanted to make a fun food craft and these are what we came up with.  Nothing complicated- just easy, fun, and cute.  I've seen these done with oreo's as well but we liked the shape of the Nutter Butter's better.  As I mentioned before, they were very easy to make!  Brynlee dipped the cookies in the chocolate, I did the eyes, and we both took turns drizzling the chocolate.

Caesar Salad

This recipe is a find of my sister Abbie!    People always ask me where I get good recipes. My answer is from other people.  Many times my family just hides there head when I go up to strangers who have made something for school or an event I am at and ask for the recipe.  Some of my best recipes have come from those experiences. People have some great recipes, don't be afraid to ask for them. Anyway, this recipe my sister found and it has become a family favorite of my mom, brother and of course my sister.  It is so simple to make, yet is so yummy.  My kids fight over who's turn it is to make it when we have it for dinner.  I love to serve this with a hot plate of spaghetti and warm french bread.  But it is also good for lunch by itself! Enjoy!!

Monster Cookies

What is more fun after school than a hot monster cookie!  Ok, so I didn't give my kids cookies before dinner, but as a child I sure did dream of that happening.  I found this recipe and loved the variety that was used to make these.  Oatmeal, rice krispies, chocolate chips, Reese's mini peanut butter chips, M&M's, how could these cookies go wrong.  I made these for a backyard movie night at our house a couple of weeks ago, and they were gone as soon as they came out of the oven.  Use your imagination and add your owe twist to this recipe to make it special.  I hope you enjoy these as much as we did!

Apple Pie Breakfast Smoothie

I love anything with apple and cinnamon in it so when I saw this smoothie I knew I had to try it.  It's like a healthy version of apple pie for breakfast (or lunch)!  I made a few small changes to the recipe such as adding chia seeds, but that is totally optional.  I just like the added nutrients and they really don't even taste.  Make it with or without them, but definitely make it.  Even without them the smoothie is nutritious, filling, and of course, tasty.
